I have been personally been coding for almost 20 years now and have been in the field of machine learning, data science, and AI for close to 10 years. I did a BSc. in Electrical Engineering but pivoted to full software with an MS. in Computer Science while working as a data scientist at WebMD. At WebMD, I worked with big data with datasets sometimes spanning as large as billions of rows. Most of my projects were related to recommendation systems, NLP & prediction models for both lead and churn.
The number one thing that led me to join Demand.io was the very clearly defined values the company envisions. I love the fact that each individual in the company is empowered to take charge of an idea they have. There is a strong culture of “if you see a problem, lead the solution” and no one is siloed into segments where you are plagued by bureaucracies.
The main thing that makes me excited for work every day is working with talented and driven people. Everyone at Demand.io has a curious mind and a relentless spirit in trying to figure things out.
Alchemy
I have always been fascinated by the concept of alchemy, the idea of a universal function that can transform anything into anything else. As I learned more about data science and AI, I realized that they are the closest things we have to real-life alchemy.
Hiking
I really love hiking and camping at national parks. The mountains, and valleys combined with the vast night sky filled with stars are truly a sight to behold!
Reading
Last but not least, I love reading books and research papers and implementing experiments about cutting-edge science in my free time. My lifelong dream is to have a personal science lab to do small-scale experiments.
Continuous growth.
